Email [email protected] and include your business name and, for Clover merchants, your Clover merchant ID. We answer in English or Chinese, Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 Toronto time, and reply within one business day.

Gift card holders: questions about a card's balance or what it can buy should go to the restaurant that sold it. The restaurant issues the card; Pie keeps the records for them.

Getting started

From Clover: install Pie Gift Cards from the Clover App Market and open it from your Clover dashboard. The first time, choose Create a new account. Pie adds a "Pie Gift Card" payment method to your Clover so staff can record gift card payments at the register.
Without Clover: sign in at gift.pietab.com on any phone, tablet or computer.

Redeeming a card

Open Pie Gift Cards, choose your location, and scan or type the card number.
Enter the amount and tap Redeem. The new balance shows right away.
On the Clover register, take the same amount with the "Pie Gift Card" payment method. Pie matches the two every night and flags any difference.

Several locations or companies

Cards work at every location in your account, even if the locations belong to different companies. When one location sells a card and another redeems it, the month-end settlement report shows which company owes which. To add a location that uses a different Clover account, generate an invite code under Settings, then choose Join an existing account when opening the app from that location's Clover.

Card rules

Purchased gift cards never expire and carry no fees, in line with Ontario's consumer protection rules. Pie never takes or holds payment: customers pay you at your own register.

Uninstalling and your data

You can export all cards and transactions at any time. If you cancel or uninstall, gift card records stay available read-only for as long as any card has a balance, so you can keep honouring cards already sold. We delete them only when you ask in writing at [email protected].
